The next year
So... We just celebrated anniversary number 4 on April 26th. It was a really relaxed evening. We went to dinner and exchanged gifts. As we sat at dinner we made ourselves reflect over the last four years. We wanted to make sure that we highlited over the bad, the good, the ugly, and the absolutely hilarious. We have had a blast of a time. Some of our close friends laugh with us as we go down memory lane. To name a few memories: the rat outside the back door in our old house, moving Mike up from Waco, burning the kitchen down and leaving mike in the house, to Chris: the tornado that almost came and we had to be in the linen closet. Good times! The life that we strive to build includes a lot of people that share our memories. I love our friends and my close family members that have made this journey worthwhile. I must say that even though we have had some pretty funny time, there was no moment like the moment that we found out that we were expecting our first child. Many laughs! Then there was no moment like the one when we found out we were having twins. My mom and aunt's reactions were priceless as they shared these moments with us. When we decided to tell our friends about the news the responses that we received were unbelievable. So many of our friends cried and said that they were happy for us but could not believe it. Many friends hung up on us after they told us to quit playing. The number one response goes to our friend Kendrea. I went to her home and showed her the original sono pic. After studying it, her response was oh my are these your lungs or your kidneys? Do you have tumors? Mike and I just looked at her and laughed then it clicked as she screamed, oh my God, it's a baby! Then she stopped and said no wait, blank stare, there are two! Then she screamed and laughed histerically. The second best response goes to my aunt. Her response was whoa! Then she looked at my mom and said I guess you are a nana now, but you are going to need plenty of wine! I absolutely loved telling everyone. Some responses were not so nice, but we overlooked those people. In the near future I will share some of the darnedest things people say to you while you are pregnant.
